This site is dedicated to keeping on top of new information of Ani DiFranco's upcoming albums. There are two different reports about the nature of the new project. In February, Wall of Sound reported that her new project would be the rounding off of a purported 'missing third disc' from her recent double album, revelling/reckoning. Then, in March, Rolling Stone quoted Ani saying that her next release would be a live album with a film, which will show concerts (filmed during the current Spring Tour, Wreckage Unravelling) and investigate the history behind songs. In April, Launch.Com also reported this. While sources definatly seem to point to the live album possibility, the idea of a studio album cannot be completely ruled out, as Ani already is playing several new songs on the road.
You can read the fan-transcribed lyrics in the lyrics section, find out where you can hear the songs online in the sounds section (coming soon), and read reviews, interviews, articles, and quotes from Ani and from recent articles about the new songs and the album in the quotes section. If you are looking for revelling/reckoning related images, go to the pictures section. For updates, check out the news section at the bottom of the page. For more Ani info, you can check out other sites in the links section.
A note to those looking for revelling/reckoning stuff: The site is now fully devoted to the next album. If you are looking for the articles previously stored on revelling/reckoning, a link is provided on the quotes page to former quotes page, containing the revelling/reckoning material. The pictures section remains the same, except for the removal of the album covers and promotional material for the album (if you are looking for these things, though, contact me and I can show you where to find them - they'll still be up, I just won't have links to them). All lyrics from revelling/reckoning can no longer be found on this site, as they can found elsewhere easily now.

4.27.01 - Welcome to the new version of rock paper scissors! Okay, the site is rather skimpy now, as we don't have much info on the new album. What we do know is mostly summarized at the top of the page. The new songs are here for now, oh my my, promised land, and icarus. We have transcribed lyrics for all but promised land. If you are looking for older news items, or are new to the site and want to catch up on what's been happening, go to the news archive.
